It has taken us a whole year to get to where we are today. You are aware the journey has not been easy. In a matter of days, you write your Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). This is going to be the first stage of series of examination you are going to write to prepare you for life.
My students, having assessed your performance over the year, I am more confident today than same time last year. I have seen you make real improvement in your studies. You have shown hard work and progress and want you to have behind you how far you have come. Though I would have wish for even greater dedication from you, I do well understand the difficulties encountered before getting you to your final stage in JHS 3.
I have confident in your ability to make it in your exams. Just B-E-L-I-E-V-E in yourself. The number of mocks you have written should be enough to see you through. As I watch some of you your faces, I see young people who want to achieve results and have the best of start to life.
I wish you the very best in your exams. God shall graciously favour you all with good results and the desire of your first choice schools shall be realized.
Have no fear or be intimidated by the name final exams. Just stay focus from start to finish. I wish to remind you however that the zeal you are going to start the exams with should be the same you will have to carry through. I have observed from my time as a student to my first time experience as head that after the first two days of exams, students then loose the seriousness they had spent months gathering. No! You do not need that if you want to come out clean.
